LiftFund is a non-profit Community Development Financial Institution with a mission to provide financing and coaching to small businesses that mainstream finance doesn’t traditionally reach. Celebrating 30 years, LiftFund’s greatest strength continues to be removing barriers to capital and business support for entrepreneurs, especially those without banking relationships or little to no credit. Since inception, 68% of their small business clients have been low- to moderate-income, 40% women, and 80% people of color. Coming to LiftFund for support, these restaurant owners, beauty salon operators, daycare providers, construction firms and service providers and many others gained the tools to not only transform their businesses, but their families, employees, and communities for generations to come. This work has resulted in over 26,000 loans and almost $1 billion in capital disbursed to small businesses since LiftFund’s inception.
