About Dan Parsons
Dan Parsons joined the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in 1983. After serving in various upper-level positions within the BBB, he was appointed President in 2002.
Prior to joining the BBB, Mr. Parsons was involved in radio news media work in Pittsburgh, PA and then in Houston, TX including serving as News & Public Affairs Director at KODA Radio.
Mr. Parsons is a Communications Graduate of the University of Houston and was a journalism major at Duquesne University - Pittsburgh. His graduate studies include the Council of Better Business Bureau Executive Development Institute and FBI Houston Citizens Academy. He was awarded a FBI Directors Citation for “Exceptional Service in the Public Interest” for his work against telemarketing fraud. His professional affiliations include being Chairman of the Houston Consumer Protection Group (a coalition of 20 fraud-fighting government agencies), President of the Better Business Bureau Educational Foundation, Inc. and Board Member of the 2016 Main Owners Association. Mr. Parsons has also served as a Special Commissioner for Harris County Civil Court of Law #4 and as a Grand Juror for the 179th Criminal District Court of Harris County.
A Downtown Houston resident for 45 years, Mr. Parsons enjoys serving as a musician at St. Vincent de Paul and St. Theresa in the Park and Holy Ghost Catholic Churches.... More >><< Less
