27th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament

The Sam Houston Area Council Sporting Clays Fundraising Tournament has raised over $3.5 million to support Scouting programs in Southeast Texas since it’s onset in 1997. Funds raised from this annual event support over 28,000 Scouts in our programs. One such program is ScoutReach - an in school-based Scouting Program delivered to 6,309 youth in 22 underserved elementary schools in Houston ISD and Fort Bend ISD. ScoutReach delivers a Cub Scouting program, led by a team of program specialists, at no cost to the Scouts or schools. The Scouts receive all of the same opportunities as a traditional unit, including summer camp, resident camp, and community service. Qualified volunteers, call the ScoutReach Corps, assist paid program specialists with teaching providing Scouts with high-quality Scouting experiences in elementary schools throughout the greater Houston area.
