Welcome to our Kumon Math and Reading Center. For more than 60 years, Kumon’s after-school academic enrichment program has helped children achieve success worldwide. We strive to instill in children the desire to achieve and the motivation to learn on their own. Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child’s progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. ABOUT APRIL
April has worked in education for most of her adult life. She spent six years as a teacher at the secondary and college level and seven years as the director of a learning center focusing on math and reading instruction. She holds an M.A. in history as well as an M.Ed. She has worked with students from early childhood through college. She specializes in the subjects of math, reading, English/language arts, social studies/humanities, and education.

Now at the helm of a successful curriculum design and writing business, she helps organizations of all sizes to build and maintain their educational offerings. Her projects have included work for leading educational publishers, educational technology companies, educational intervention providers, and various assessment and curriculum development firms.
